Abstract

The digital era has brought fundamental changes to global trade through the emergence of e-commerce, which facilitates cross-border transactions and provides Indonesian consumers with broad market access. However, behind the advances in technology and the digital economy, new challenges have emerged in the form of rampant consumer rights violations and an increase in cybercrime in online transactions. The research method uses a normative-comparative juridical approach. It uses a statute approach, a conceptual approach, and a comparative approach to compare the mechanisms and effectiveness of dispute resolution in Indonesia and in international cyber law. The legal framework in Indonesia has provided specific regulations related to consumer protection in e-commerce, particularly through the Consumer Protection Law (UUPK), the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (UU ITE), and Government Regulation No. 80 of 2019 concerning Trade Through Electronic Systems (PP PMSE). The integration of consumer legal protection and cybercrime prevention in e-commerce in Indonesia's digital era has been supported by the national legal framework through the UUPK, UU ITE, and PP PMSE, which provide a regulatory basis for consumer rights, data security, and cybercrime enforcement in online transactions.
